I thought this was really cool so i’m writing a post about it. Ann Ullery, the editor for In Focus, has written an article about us in the monthly newsletter for the Chasco Camera Club. Thank you so much, Ann!
This is the first time I have ever had anything published about me so it’s really exciting and i wanted to share it. if you’re interested in reading the write-up, you can find it here.

Just wanted to let you guys know that Pam has booked us a shoot for this upcoming weekend (June 1, 2008). we will be revisiting the loverly Ybor City for this one. I dont know what it is but Ybor has a great feel to it when it comes to portrait photography. the atmosphere there and the vibe that it gives off is simply amazing. If you happen to be down there next weekend, check the alley ways and stair cases and you might find us
I have a couple places in mind though and maybe it’ll work out better than last time. shooting in a dimly lit alley with a 4-5.6 proved to be a real drag. but we’ll have some lights and stuff with us this time so it won’t be as bad.
Looking forward to a great day of shooting in one of my favorite places. See you there!

Well, if you have not heard the news already… Ryan McGeeney, a newspaper photographer for the Standard-Examiner in Provo, Utah has apparently gotten a little too close to the action during a high school track event and caught a javelin in the leg just below his knee. i wonder if the student that hurled the javelin was yelling “i caught ze whale boss!” when it happened. hehe i doubt it and it’s really not that funny but McGeeney had sense enough to snap a photo of it. if this isn’t dedication to your job then i don’t know what is. it’s getting the picture no matter what… and that’s what it’s all about. even if you’re the shish-ka-bob the story is going to be about.
you have got to see the image of this folks. read the full story at The Associated Press and check out the photo!
